Opera Santa Barbara will celebrate the opening of our 12/13 Season in grand style with a Gala Dinner on Friday, November 2 at 5:00 pm in the McCune Founders Room of the Granada Theatre.

The evening will feature valet parking in front of the Granada Theatre, a 3-course Japanese-inspired dinner catered by Rincon Catering, wines by Palmina, the opening night performance of Madame Butterfly, a private intermission reception, and a post-party with champagne and desserts where you will be able to meet the cast, director and conductor.

Attire is Black Tie Optional.

Tickets are $250 per person if you already have a ticket to the opera, or $375 per person which includes a Section A ticket to the opera.

Signature Cocktail:
Pomegranate Martini

First Course:
Small Plate Trio of Hand Rolled Maki Sushi Roll with Ponzu Marinated Tuna, Spicy Crab, Avocado and Cucumber; Marinated Cucumber, Seaweed and Watermelon Rind Topped with a Seaweed Crisp; and Chicken Tataki.

Second Course:
Baby Spinach with Strawberries, Sake Pickled Onions and Toasted Sesame Seeds with an Orange Rice Wine Drizzle.

Entree Course:
Steamed Barramundi on a Bed of Wilted Mizuna Greens with Ginger and Lemongrass Thai Green Curry Sauce, Pacific Rice Pilaf; Grilled Japanese Eggplant and Snow Peas.

Dessert Station:
Featuring Asian Sake Poached Pears, Creme Brulee Spoons Topped with Salted Caramel and Chile Mousse, Assorted Mochi Ice Cream, Handmade Cream Puffs with Green Tea Mousse and Rincon Legendary Chocolate Chip Cookies.
