FIRST THURSDAYS
In partnership with the Santa Barbara Museum of Art Opera Santa Barbara presents pop-up performances in the museum galleries on select First Thursdays of the month. Featuring our Chrisman Studio Artists, these concerts feature a wide range of repertoire often inspired by Museum exhibits and citywide celebrations, and are completely free to the public. Concerts run about an hour. Join us for the next First Thursday!

FOR STUDENTS & TEACHERS
The quickest way to fall in love with opera is to come performance! This season we are offering a free Student Matinee performance Handel’s Caesar & Cleopatra on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at 10 am at the Lobero Theatre. Students in grades 7 through 12 can experience the magic of live professional music theater and have an opportunity to ask questions to the cast and production team after the show.
Reservations are now open for Caesar & Cleopatra. Admission is free and some transportation fees will be covered.
