Norman Espinoza, a Bass from San José, California is excited to be part of the Chrisman Studio Artist program for Opera Santa Barbara’s 2021-2022 season. He has performed internationally and with numerous opera companies around the nation. Norman is a graduate from San José State University where he obtained both his M.M. and B.M. in Vocal Performance. 

Recognized for his powerful low notes, he has sung for the Berlin Opera Academy, the Montefeltro Music Festival in Italy, Opera San José, Lyric Opera of Orange County, Opera Las Vegas and most recently at the Al Ringling Theatre in Baraboo, Wisconsin. Roles Norman has sung include; Alidoro, Reverend Hale, Il Commendatore, Sparafucile, Leporello, Bartolo, Seneca and Sarastro to name a few. 

Off stage, Norman and his wife run a financial services business. They are passionate about educating others about how money works. They also serve on the board for Lyric Opera of Orange County as their Treasures. Together they are a great team and love giving back to their community.
