Laurel Phillips is an attorney specializing in copyright and trademark law. She currently maintains an independent legal practice in intellectual property. Prior to moving to Santa Barbara, she spent 17 years as an advertising executive in New York City and Los Angeles. She is currently on the Board of the Little Town Club, is a docent at Casa Del Herrero and is a Judge Pro Tem with the Santa Barbara Superior Court. She has been a trustee of the Santa Barbara Foundation and is a past Board Member of CAMA and the Hope Ranch Homeowner’s Association. She holds degrees from UC Berkeley, San Diego State University and Southwestern University School of Law. She has a broad range of musical tastes, from country/western to blues, pop, rock and classical. In addition to her musical interests, she enjoys interclub tennis, bicycling and fitness classes. She holds a deep love for Santa Barbara and is deeply committed to activities that benefit the community.
