Baritone Adam Richardson, a native of Virginia, received his master of music degree from the Juilliard School in 2011. While there, he performed the roles of Betto in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi and Javelinot in Poulenc’s Dialogues des Carmelites. He was also a part of the inaugural Juilliard+Met collaboration production of Smetana’s Bartered Bride conducted by James Levine. Most recently, he performed the roles of Jake/Porgy in Porgy and Bess and the Wolf in Barab’s Little Red Riding Hood as part of the Cincinnati Opera’s Resident Artist Touring Program. Mr. Richardson also holds a degree from Carnegie Mellon University and is an alumnus of training programs including the Brevard Music Festival and Opera North. He has been awarded by Harlem Opera Theatre, the National Society of Arts and Letters, and by the Lotte Lenya Competition.
