OSB Livestreams The Barber of Seville and Lucia di Lammemoor

Opera SB Presents Livestreams of The Barber of Seville (2018) & Lucia di Lammermoor (2002)

Unfortunately, as we have had to postpone our 20|21 Season opener La Traviata to later in the spring, we are excited to offer two popular favorites to stream. Follow OSB on Facebook and YouTube for updates and links to both shows.

Gioachino Rossini’s The Barber of Seville (2018) – Tuesday, August 18 at 5pm PT

Gaetano Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor (2002)– Tuesday, August 25 at 5pm PT

Gioachino Rossini’s laugh-out-loud romantic comedy The Barber of Seville returned to Opera Santa Barbara during our 17|18 Season. Entertaining audiences for more than 200 years with its outrageous stage antics, vocal acrobatics and featuring some of opera’s most recognizable tunes, audiences are sure to leave the theater singing Figaro, Figaro, Fiiiiiii-garo!

Intensely romantic, Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor swept away audiences in 2002. A favorite of the bel canto operas and reminiscent of Romeo and Juliet, you will be transfixed by the passion and tragedy of our heroine and her lover Edgardo, members of opposing houses in Scotland. Before its inevitable end, the opera’s third act soars with Lucia’s famous mad scene in a dazzling display of vocal skill.
