Supernumeraries: Your chance to be in an Opera!

Supernumeraries (or "supers") are non-singing roles in our opera productions. These individuals are generally "character" parts, playing a specific role within the onstage community of the opera. Supers can be volunteers of any age, and depending on the opera can even include children.

Supers are required to attend evening and some daytime rehearsals beginning three weeks before the opening night of each production. Being a Super is a great way to learn behind-the-scenes insight into creating opera.

If you are interested in the possibility of becoming a super, please email your resume or stage experience to Production Manager, Rory Collins @ rory@operasb.org with the subject line "SUPER AUDITIONS".
